Known as Fuzzy's First, Island West Golf Club winds around magnificent live oaks, strategically place bunkers, over twenty five acres of water and through unusually rolling terrain for a low country course. Island West is one of those special golf courses that you will want to play again and again a scenic layout with beautiful rolling fairways, elevated tees, carefully preserved natural marsh areas, supplemented by strategically located fairway bunkers that test your decision-making prowess as well as your shotmaking ability.

This facility is a collaboration by architect Clyde Johnston and popular Tour star Fuzzy Zoeller, a former U.S. Open and Masters champion. Their goal was to make the course as "fun" as possible. Johnston and Zoeller have created a course that provides a good game of golf for all players. The back markers provide 6803 yards of challenge that's well-deserving of its slope rating (129). This is a scenic layout that winds through tree-lined fairways out into areas dominated by natural marshland.
